Italian FM to Call Israeli FM Over Blocking Cardinal Entry in Jerusalem

(MENAFN) Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani made an announcement on Sunday that the Israeli ambassador will be called to the Foreign Ministry following the refusal of entry to Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa at a church in Jerusalem, which prevented him from celebrating Palm Sunday Mass.

“I have instructed that the Israeli ambassador be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tomorrow to provide clarification on the decision to prevent Cardinal Pizzaballa from celebrating Palm Sunday,” Tajani wrote on US-based social media platform X.
